Embodiments of the present invention provide a data transmission method, a base station, and a user equipment (UE), wherein a main base station configures a data transmission parameter for an auxiliary base station, to assist the auxiliary base station to perform uplink and downlink data transmission on a UE. Therefore, the main base station and the auxiliary base station transmit and receive data according to the same data transmission parameter, and there is no need to perform extra processing on the data transmitted and received by the auxiliary base station, that is, the auxiliary base station can only reserve simple buffering, encapsulating, and transceiver functions, or even only reserve buffering and transceiver functions, so that the protocol design of the auxiliary base station is simplified, and the cost of the auxiliary base station, especially the cost of a micro base station serving as the auxiliary base station is reduced. |
