摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an abrasive article which causes significantly less alumina particle (grain) dissolution during a forming process, can be formed at high temperatures while mitigating degradation and/or dissolution of the abrasive grains comprising microcrystalline alumina (MCA), and can realize, with less power, grinding performance comparable to that of conventional abrasive article.SOLUTION: In an abrasive article comprising an abrasive body having abrasive grains comprising microcrystalline alumina contained within a vitreous bond material, the vitreous bond material comprises a total content of alumina [C] of at least 15 mol%, a total content of silica [C] of not greater than 70 mol%, and a total content of alkali oxide compounds [C] selected from the group of alkali compounds consisting of potassium oxide (KO), sodium oxide (NaO), and lithium oxide (LiO) is not greater than 15 mol%.</p>
