<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a user-friendly tag for optical cable which does not damage an optical cable. <P>SOLUTION: The tag for optical cable comprises a banding band 1 as a tag member to which a plate 11 for displaying necessary information is attached, and a cushion member 2 placed between the banding band 1 and the optical cable 3. At the base end of the banding band 1, a fastening section 12 is formed and. The tip 1a of the unity band 1 passes through a through hole 12a of the fastening section 12 to be pulled in the arrow direction, so that the banding band 1 can be tightly fastened.
