1. A computerized method for producing variable shaped products, comprising:
receiving over a network by a computerized fulfillment system a plurality of orders from multiple different customers, each order for the production of at least one item selected by the respective customer and each of the at least one item having an associated markup language format content description defining design content of the ordered item and an associated markup language format cutline description defining a cutout shape of the ordered item, converting, by the computerized fulfillment system, the markup language format content description of each of the at least one item into at least one corresponding individual print-ready file in a format ready to be processed by a printing system; converting, by the computerized fulfillment system, the markup language format cutline description of each of the at least one item into a corresponding individual cutter-ready file in a format ready to be processed by a cutting system; selecting from the plurality of orders, by the computerized fulfillment system, a set of said ordered items to be simultaneously produced; aggregating, by the computerized fulfillment system, respective ones of corresponding individual print-ready files and corresponding individual cutter-ready files of the ordered items in the selected set of ordered items into corresponding positions of respective ones of an aggregate print-ready gang file and an aggregate cutlines gang file; wherein the aggregate print-ready gang file is configured in a format ready to be printed as a whole by the printing system on the substrate, and the aggregate cutlines gang file is configured in a format ready to be received and processed as a whole by the cutting system to cut from the substrate a plurality of individual items, each individual item corresponding to an ordered item from the selected set of ordered items and having a corresponding shape defined according to its associated cutlines description. |
