The present invention relates to a method for purifying protein from an extracted material containing an insoluble material and protein, and a method for purifying lectins using the same. According to the present invention, the method for purifying protein comprises the steps of: separating a crude material in which an insoluble material and protein are mixed from a natural material; forming a crude material solution by adding a buffer solution into the crude material; precipitating the insoluble material by adding ethanol into the crude material solution; and filtering the precipitated insoluble material and selecting a supernatant liquid containing only the protein. The present invention provides a protein purifying method and a lectin purifying method having a high yield rate and high stability by selectively precipitating only insoluble material without damaging protein.
