PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance security by preventing as much as possible leakage of authentication information which is required when a plurality of control devices perform authentication among them.SOLUTION: A CU (Card Unit) control unit, a security chip and a communication control IC perform authentication by a challenge response system among them. Not only the CU control unit authenticates the security chip by the challenge response system, but also the security chip authenticates the CU control unit by the challenge response system. Also, not only the security chip authenticates the communication control IC by the challenge response system, but also the communication control IC authenticates the security chip by the challenge response system.
