<p>The present invention provides a method for the utilization of motor vehicle waste heat and comprising the following steps: 1. after vehicle ignition, conducting a part of the heat of tail gas of the internal combustion engine to the hot face of a first thermoelectric power generation element while at the same time continually reducing the temperature of the cold face thereof, said first thermoelectric power generation element thus generating electricity; 2. when vehicle water temperature exceeds 80℃, conducting a part of the heat of the cooling water of the internal combustion engine to the hot face of a second thermoelectric power generation element while at the same time continually reducing the temperature of the cold face thereof, said second thermoelectric power generation element thus generating electricity; 3. causing current generated by step 1 and step 2 to pass through a voltage adapter to charge a vehicle storage battery. By means of the present invention, heat produced by a working internal combustion engine is converted to electrical energy and charges a vehicle battery in place of an existing generator, thus at once improving the fuel utilization efficiency of the engine while also reducing the load thereupon, allowing the power output by said internal combustion engine wholly to be used to drive the vehicle.</p> |
