PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an object sorter which can sort out an object correctly. SOLUTION: This object sorter as a vegetable/fruit selector comprises the following components: a first conveyor (a first carrier part) which conveys and sorts out tomatoes (objects) C; a position detecting means which optically detects the position of the tomato C to be conveyed; a grade measuring means which measures the grade of the tomato C; a plurality of sending belts 13 which are installed on the first conveyor and at desired intervals "d" in a conveyance direction, and send out the tomato C almost in an orthogonal direction with the first conveyor at the desired position; and a control means which instructs the sending belt 13 to send out the tomato C, according to the position of the tomato C detected by the position detecting means and the grade of the tomato C measured by the grade measuring means. In addition, a marker W for detecting the position of the tomato C by the position detecting means is put on the sending belt 13, and the color of the marker W can be clearly discerned.
