PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a curable silicone composition having excellent handling workability, from which a cured product having a high refractive index and low gas permeability is formed.SOLUTION: The curable silicone composition comprises at least: (A) an organopolysiloxane resin expressed by an average unit formula and having at least two alkenyl groups in one molecule; (B) a linear organopolysiloxane having at least two alkenyl groups in one molecule and no hydrogen atom bonded to a silicon atom; (C) an organopolysiloxane expressed by general formula and having a condensed polycyclic aromatic group or a condensed polycyclic aromatic group-containing group; and (D) a catalyst for a hydrosilylation reaction.
