<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a rear end of a hood to be rapidly elevated in a head-on collision of a vehicle, and to effectively prevent occurrence of any situation that an obstacle is collapsed over the hood in a process that the rear end of the hood is elevated. <P>SOLUTION: This vehicular hood flip-up device includes a hinge mechanism 2 for pivotably supporting a hood 1 provided on a front upper surface of a vehicle by a vehicle body on its rear end side, and an actuator 3 for fliping up the rear end of the hood when detecting any collision of the vehicle. The hinge mechanism 2 includes hinge brackets 5, 6 provided on the hood side and the vehicle body side, and a hinge arm 7 pivotably supported by at least any one thereof. The hinge mechanism 2 has a deceleration member (a projecting piece part 27) for reducing the flip-up speed of the hood through its plastic deformation in which the relative posture of one of the hinge brackets 5, 6 to the hinge arm 7 is displaced by the action of the actuator 3. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT</p> |
