PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inspection method of a superconductive wire with which superconductive filaments can be inspected promptly and accurately with sheath removal. SOLUTION: A superconductive wire 50 has superconductive filaments 10 and a sheath 20 which is made of silver or silver alloy and covers the superconductive filaments 10. The sheath 20 is removed to the middle of a thickness direction by a first etching liquid containing nitric acid. The sheath 20 which has been removed to the middle of the thickness direction is removed by a second etching liquid containing ammonium and hydrogen peroxide, thereby exposing the superconductive filaments 10.
