PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic photoreceptor in which a protective layer composed of a composition using a radical polymerizable compound is increased in hardness, and an abrasion-resistant property and scratch resistance are improved, and the occurrence of a blurred image or a crack is prevented; an image forming apparatus using the same; and a process cartridge used for the apparatus. SOLUTION: There is provided an organic photoreceptor formed by laminating a photosensitive layer and a protective layer on a conductive support body, the organic photoreceptor being characterized in that the protective layer is formed by polymerizing a composition containing a compound having a hept- or more-functional polymerizable functional group and a compound having a polymerizable functional group whose viscosity is between 30 and 3000 mPa s at 25°C.
