A laundry machine according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises a case which forms an exterior of the laundry machine; a plurality of buttons which are arranged in front of the case and include optical sources for displaying ring-shaped optical patterns; an object sensor which senses a motion of an object within a preset set distance; a door which is arranged on one region of a border and includes an optical source displaying an optical pattern; and a control unit which controls the buttons and the door to display preset patterns, when the object sensor senses a motion of an object. According to the present invention, user convenience is provided.
