The present invention relates to a vacuum decarbonizing method for molten stainless steel including: a preparing step for adjusting the content of carbon in molten steel to 0.15-0.25 wt%; a decarbonizing step for making the content of carbon in the molten steel to less than 0.015 wt% by maintaining the degree of vacuum to less than 10 mbar while bottom-blowing argon gas in the molten steel and top-blowing oxygen; a fine decarbonizing step for bottom-blowing argon gas in the molten steel while maintaining the degree of vacuum between 250 and 350 mbar; and a reductive desulfurization step for injecting a deoxidizing agent into the molten steel while maintaining the degree of vacuum between 250 and 350 mbar. |
