The present invention relates to a heat pump system for a vehicle, and more particularly, a heat pump system for a vehicle including an indoor heat exchanger in which high-temperature and high-pressure refrigerant flows mounted inside an air-conditioning case. A sensor for sensing pressure of refrigerant is installed on a refrigerant circulation line of an inlet or an outlet of the indoor heat exchanger, so that the heat pump system determines if refrigerant leaks from the indoor heat exchanger when pressure of the refrigerant is reduced beyond a predetermined range, and turns off a compressor to protect passengers inside the vehicle by preventing an accident caused by a leak of high-temperature and high-pressure refrigerant.
