<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cutting edge replaceable radius end mill which allows for extending the lifetime of a cutting edge even when finishing is carried out at a high speed.SOLUTION: A cutting edge replaceable end mill is mounted, in a freely removable way, with four inserts for cutting having a same shape and including a cutting edge, in the tip part of a tool body, and also has first to fourth insert attachment seats for fixing the insert for cutting with fixing screws in the tip part of the tool body. The central axis of the fixing screw is inclined to the direction opposite to the rotation direction of the tool body at an inclination angle ofθ1 degrees and also inclined to the direction perpendicular to the tool rotation axis extending direction at an inclination angle ofθ2 degrees, whereθ1 is in the range of 8≤θ1≤10 andθ2 is in the range of 10≤θ2≤12. The inserts for cutting are fastened to the first to fourth insert attachment seats by screw fastening with the fixing screws.</p> |
