PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To more speedily perform the process in which the formation of images on a plurality of pages instructed by plot data including the specification of a characteristic is emulated using a basic color material, than the case where a process after a plate dividing process is started after the specification of a characteristic used for all pages.SOLUTION: From PDL data transmitted from a terminal 10, an extraction part 101 extracts characteristic name data, which instructs the specification of a characteristic that is a color different from a basic color, for each page. A list generation part 102 generates a characteristic name list, which includes characteristic name data extracted by the extraction part 101, for each page. An image processing part 212 performs a plate dividing process and RIP processing for each characteristic instructed by the basic color and characteristic name list, according to the PDL data, every time the characteristic name list for each page is generated by the list generation part 102. The image processing part 212 then combines raster data about a characteristic with raster data about each basic color. |
