According to an embodiment of the present invention, a manufacturing method of a liquid crystal display device comprises the steps of: forming a first mother substrate having a plurality of first display areas; forming a second mother substrate having a plurality of second display areas; arranging a seal member in the shape of a loop, which encircles the first display area or the second display area; dropping a liquid crystal material on the first display area or on the second display area encircled by the seal member; and sealing the first mother substrate and the second mother substrate with the seal member so that the first display area and the second display area are opposed to each other. In the step of dropping the liquid crystal material, the amount of the liquid crystal material, dropped onto the first display area or the second display area, located on an end portion of the first mother substrate or the second mother substrate, are larger than the amount of the liquid crystal material, dropped onto the first display area or the second display area, located in the center of the first mother substrate or the second mother substrate. |
