The present invention relates to a hot press forming method for a tailored blank having a different thickness which can predict movement of a welding line after forming, thereby securing uniform cooling performance. The hot press forming method includes the steps of predicting a movement of a welding line of a tailored blank by compressing upper and lower dies, and formation of the welding line caused by the movement; designing the shape of a mold according to the shape of the predicted welding line; and performing hot press forming using the designed mold. The mold is designed so that the mold has a stepped portion, and the stepped portion of the mold is configured to conform to the moving welding line. Therefore, when the tailored blank having a different thickness is formed, the movement of the welding line caused by the forming is predicted, thus the tailored blank is provided with the uniform cooling performance for securing the good mechanical properties. |
