Provided is a sodium sulfur battery. According to the present invention, the sodium sulfur battery includes: a cartridge tube which carries sodium and has a sodium discharging outlet on the bottom for discharging melt sodium; a solid electrolyte tube for accommodating the cartridge tube while passing sodium ions; a cathode container for accommodating the solid electrolyte tube and sulfur; an insulation member for insulating a space between the solid electrolyte tube and the cathode container; an anode cover installed to seal the top of the cartridge tube; a stopper member for blocking the sodium discharging outlet; a fixation member for fixing the stopper member to the bottom of the cartridge tube; and a joint member for joining the stopper member and fixation member while being melt at abnormal operational temperatures of the sodium sulfur battery.
