The present invention refers to a system for wire sawing of ingot materials comprising: a saw wire (30) having an elongated shape in cross-section, said wire being twisted substantially about its own longitudinal axis (X) according to a helix having a pitch (P) larger than or equal to about 2 mm; an operating station (40) wherein a saw material is associated to at least one portion (31a-31d) of said wire (30); a drive device (50) acting on said wire (30) to bring said at least one portion (31a-31d) of wire (30) at an ingot (20) of a material to be sawn, and to withdraw by sawing at least one portion of said ingot (20). A method for wire sawing the ingot materials and a saw wire used in said system and in said method are also described.
