<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide techniques for supporting MBMS.SOLUTION: Resources used for MBMS services are provided with a multi-tier structure. In the first tier, resources (e.g., subframes) used for a multicast control channel (MCCH) for MBMS services are signaled in a system information block (SIB). In the second tier, resources (subframes) for channels carrying data for MBMS services are signaled via the MCCH. A cell generates an SIB comprising information indicative of resources used to send an MCCH. The cell sends the SIB in a broadcast control channel (BCCH), and sends the MCCH on the resources indicated by the information sent in the SIB. The cell sends other channels carrying data for MBMS services on the basis of information sent in the MCCH.</p> |
