PURPOSE: A primer pair and a method for detecting enterohemorrhagic E.coli O157:H7 are provided to quickly and accurately detect enterohemorrhagic E.coli O157:H7 only and to diagnose enterohemorrhag E.coli O157:H7-induced diseases. CONSTITUTION: A method for detecting enterohemorrhag E.coli O157:H7 comprises: a step of preparing a sample; a step of amplifying a nucleotide sequence in the sample using primers of sequence numbers 1 and 2; and a step of identifying amplified resultant. A kit for diagnosing enterohemorrhag E.coli O157:H7-induced diseases contains a primer pair of sequence numbers 1 and 2. The disease is food poisoning.
