<p>The present invention relates to a composite insulator. The insulator of the present invention has a shield (104) on one outer side of a tube (100). First and second flanges (110, 110') are provided on both ends of the tube (100). A housing (120) made of a silicon material is formed so as to surround the tube (100) and the shield (104). A plurality of sheds (122) are protruded from an outer side of the housing (120). The shield (104) has a body part (106) which is disposed on the outer side of the tube (100), and a curved part (108) which is rolled outwards on one end of the body part (106). A connection part (109) for an electrical connection with the flanges (110, 110') is formed on the other end of the body part (106) corresponding to an opposite side of the curved part (108). A plurality of through-holes (109') are formed in the shield (104). Therefore, the present invention having the configuration above provides the advantages of simplifying the configuration of the composite insulator and facilitating the following composite bushing-manufacturing process.</p> |
