摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic resonance imaging apparatus capable of efficiently managing to use the optimum center frequency for avoiding a banding artifact.SOLUTION: A magnetic resonance imaging apparatus comprises: a main scan section determining unit for determining an imaging cross section of a true scan; a preparatory scan section designating unit for selecting and designating the imaging section of a preparatory scan to decide the optimum center frequency for avoiding the influences of a banding artifact; a preparatory scan executing unit for performing said preparatory scan upon the imaging section of said preparatory scan designated, to determine said optimum center frequency; a frequency management unit for managing the optimum center frequency determined, in relation to the imaging section of said preparatory scan, and for setting said optimum center frequency correlated to the imaging section of said preparatory scan, as the center frequency of the true scan to execute the optimum center frequency correlated to the imaging section of said preparatory scan; and a true execution unit for executing said true scan by using the optimum center frequency.
