PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transfer determination device and a transfer determination program capable of predicting the behavior of toner particles in a transfer area without the need to solve the equation of motion for the toner particles.SOLUTION: An electric field calculation unit 10 performs one-dimensional electric field calculation, in a transfer area where a photoreceptor roll 100 transfers toner to a transfer target medium 104, at each time point in a process direction during which the transfer target medium 104 moves, so as to determine the intensity of the electric field acting on a toner layer 106 formed on the surface of the photoreceptor roll 100. A grouping unit 12 groups toner particles on the basis of a charge distribution of the toner particles for the toner layer 106. A transfer propriety determination unit 14 determines propriety of the transfer of the toner particles from the photoreceptor roll 100 to the transfer target medium 104 on the basis of a force directed from the photoreceptor roll 100 to the transfer target medium 104 determined from the charge amount of the toner particles belonging to each of the groups and the intensity of the electric field, and an adhesive force to have the toner particles to remain on the surface of the photoreceptor roll 100. |
