PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nanocrystal particle coated with an organic molecular film, which has no defect, and also to provide a manufacturing method of the nanoparticle coated with the organic molecular film, in which a production process thereof can be extremely simplified. SOLUTION: In the nanocrystal particle, the surface of the nanocrystal particle is coated with the organic molecular film. In the manufacturing method of the nanoparticle coated with the organic molecular film, the entire surface of the nanocrystal particle is coated with the organic molecular film by the following way. A target material as a base material of the nanoparticle is immersed in a surface modifying organic molecular solution and irradiated with a laser to diffuse the nanoparticles in the organic molecular solution from the target material and bond organic molecules to the surfaces of the nanoparticles. In the manufacturing method, the target material has such a property that oxide films are not generated on the surface of the nanoparticles diffused by the irradiation of the laser.
