The method involves defining a low frequency signal comprising frequency below a high frequency level (42). Interference signals (28) which occur at the low frequency signal are combined together to form a high frequency signal (48), if the number of the interference signals is greater than or equal to a high frequency number (50) and the time interval between two successive interference signals is less than a high frequency time (46), where the interference signal has frequency below a low frequency level and current intensity above a low frequency limit threshold. An independent claim is also included for a circuit breaker that is utilized for implementing the method for identifying arcing faults within the power circuit. |
