The present invention relates to an electric power steering system for controlling back electromotive force, and to a control method for the back electromotive force of electric power steering. The electric power steering system reduces back electromotive force generated by a motor by reducing currents applied to the motor when revolutions per minute output by the motor exceed predetermined revolutions per minute. Also, the electric power steering system overcomes the increase of manufacturing costs and limitation on an internal space which are caused by the installation of a separate back electromotive force measuring device. |
