The present invention relates to a portable apparatus for controlling sound source playing along movement sensed by an acceleration sensor and a method for the same. The portable apparatus according to the present invention includes: one or more processors; an acceleration sensor; a memory; and one or more programs stored in the memory and executed by the one or more processors, where the program includes: an acceleration sensor monitoring module monitoring whether a movement of the portable apparatus is sensed by the acceleration sensor; a sound source playing module playing a sound source when the movement of the portable apparatus is sensed, and temporarily stopping playing the sound source when the movement of the portable apparatus is not sensed according to the monitoring result; and a mileage saving module saving mileage in proportion to a time for playing the sound source.
