The present invention relates to an organic light emitting diode (OLED) display device and a driving method. The OLED display device comprises a display panel having a driving switching element for providing a driving current for an OLED by forming a double gate type thin film transistor in which a pixel has a first gate electrode and a second gate electrode; a gate driver for driving gate lines accessing the pixel; a data driver for applying a sensing voltage to the data line accessing the pixel to flow the sensing voltage in the first gate electrode, thereby flowing a sensing current through the driving switching element in a sensing mode; and a threshold voltage compensating circuit for computing a threshold voltage of the driving switching element by measuring the voltage corresponding to the sensing current using the sensing line for measuring the sensing current to measure the standard voltage provision line for providing a standard voltage for the pixel in the sensing mode, and for providing a compensating voltage corresponding to the threshold voltage using the compensating line in a compensating mode for the second gate electrode.
