Provided is an information processing system comprising a mobile information terminal having multiple functions and a wireless terminal to wirelessly communicate with the mobile information terminal. The wireless terminal includes: an obtaining unit for obtaining function information indicating multiple programs included in the mobile information terminal from the mobile information terminal; and a launching instruction unit for transmitting a launching instruction signal to instruct a launch of the selected particular program to the mobile information terminal in response to one or more selection operations among the multiple programs indicated by the function information obtained by the obtaining unit. Therefore, the mobile information terminal includes a processing unit for starting the operation of the program to be instructed to launch by the relevant launch instruction signal according to the reception of the launch instruction signal from the wireless terminal.
