A valve and a float valve (100) including such a valve are disclosed. The valve comprises a valve body (110) with an aperture (14) from an interior of the body to an exterior of the valve. A lever member (75) with a valve seat adjacent the aperture (14) is coupled to the valve body about a pivot so that movement of the lever member (75) causes the seat to close the aperture (14) to close the valve. A plunger assembly (70) with a reciprocally moving plunger is pivotally coupled to the body (110) and arranged to act against either side of the lever pivot point to open and close the aperture (14). An actuating arm (90) with the plunger assembly (70) at one end is pivotally coupled to the body moveable to cause the plunger assembly (70) to pivot the lever (75). |
