METHOD FOR COMPREHENSIVE ASSESSMENT OF PLATELET AGGREGATION

A method for comprehensive, quantitative analysis of platelet aggregation and the stability and persistence of platelet clumps. Said method includes the following steps: a step in which a platelet-activating reagent is reacted with blood in a sealed container; a step in which a pump connected to a first end of said container is used to inject a liquid that does not mix with blood into the container, thereby pushing a liquid mixture consisting of the platelet-activating reagent and the blood out of the container and through a filter in a filter device connected to a second end of the container; and a step in which the pressure experienced by the pump is measured.
