PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide agents that modulate interleukin-15 (IL-15) signal transduction or function (therapeutic agent agonistic therapeutic agents) and the use of those agents to modulate immune function, in cancer therapy.SOLUTION: The therapeutic agents target the interaction between IL-15 and IL-15 receptor and modulate IL-15-induced signal transduction, which is expressed by irradiated cancer cells in a pharmaceutical composition. The therapeutic agents are formulated with polymers, such as poly-&bgr;-1→4-N-acetylglucosamine for administration to a human subject that may modulate IL-15-mediated immune function.
