PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electromagnetic contactor which has improved reliability in opening and closing a current path.SOLUTION: An electromagnetic contactor comprises: a pair of fixed contact parts; a movable contact piece 132 having, on its both end sides, a pair of movable contact parts which are arranged to face the pair of fixed contact parts, respectively; and a shaft-like movable support 131 which supports a central portion in an extending direction of the movable contact piece 132. Further, the fixed contact parts and the movable contact piece 132 are housed in a non-conductive insulation cylinder 140. An electromagnet unit 200 drives the movable support 131 in an advancing/retracting direction, which is in an axial direction, so that the movable contact parts come into contact with or separate from the respective fixed contact parts. The electromagnetic contactor further comprises a slide guide 403 for restricting the rotary displacement of the movable contact piece 132. The slide guide 403 is a separate component from the insulation cylinder 140. |
