PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mobile terminal test device and a method in which it is not necessary to store useless information for a test in a mobile terminal in advance, time for performing link release processing after an early stage of operation and establishing an idle state and re-link is not required, quick shift to a state where a mobile terminal can be tested is attained, re-link processing from the idle state with call connection is not required, and connection can be made without being conscious of a memory content of a SIM.SOLUTION: At an early stage of operation of a mobile terminal 1 to be tested, processing for establishing a link with the mobile terminal 1 and position registration processing with link establishment means 211 and position registration means 213 are performed. Then, a downlink Direct Transfer (Activate RB Test Mode) message for setting a test mode connection from a base station is notified with test mode shift means 214, and a response message to the notification message is returned from the mobile terminal 1 to be tested, thereby shifting a mode of the mobile terminal 1 to be tested to the test mode to perform a transmission and reception test. |
