A method for group start of synchronous motors comprises start of synchronous motors connected to a network one by one through own switching devices; as the synchronous motor operates at sub-synchronous speed, excitation winding thereof is connected to a thyristor exciter, excitation voltage is supplied and the synchronous motor pulls into step. Moreover, excitation voltage of the first synchronous motor is set such that the motor enters in an over-excitation mode, generating energy to the network, thereby increasing voltage in connection point higher than nominal one; thereafter, the second synchronous motor is connected to the network; in turn as the second synchronous motor begins operating at sub-synchronous speed, said motor is transferred to the over-excitation mode and all motors one by one run in such a way, as the last synchronous motor finishes starting, for each synchronous motor the excitation level is set which is required by corresponding mode of motor operation according to the process. |
