<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a charge transport method, capable of realizing superior charge transport capability with the use of a liquid crystal compound, and to provide a charge transport material, as well as, a charge transport device which uses the material, and a photoelectric conversion device. <P>SOLUTION: In the charge transport method, transport for charges is carried out, by hopping conduction with a liquid crystal state of a smectic phase or a solid state generated by the phase transition from the smectic phase, by using a rod-like ionic liquid crystal compound comprising a cation group and an anion group, having a smectic phase as the liquid crystal phase. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
