1. An adaptive interface system comprising:
a user interface for controlling a vehicle system; a sensor for detecting a position of an extremity of a user and generating a sensor signal representing the position of the extremity; and a processor in communication with the sensor and the control device, wherein the processor receives the sensor signal, analyzes the sensor signal based upon an instruction set to determine a pointing vector of the user, wherein the instruction set is an algorithm for determining the pointing vector based upon the position of the extremity of the user relative to the user interface and an estimated position of another portion of a body of the user, and configures the user interface based upon the pointing vector of the user.
