A spot search device which searches, based on image data of pattern light including a plurality of spotlights projected in a lattice pattern by a projector, a moved spotlight representing any of the plurality of spotlights that has moved, the spot search device comprising: a first movement amount generating unit which detects the moved spotlight and calculates a first movement amount based on first image data of the pattern light generated by a first imaging device; a second movement amount generating unit which, based on the first movement amount and a distance between the first imaging device and a second imaging device, calculates a second movement amount of the moved spotlight in second image data of the pattern light generated by the second imaging device; and a spotlight position predicting unit which, when a velocity and an area of the moved spotlight calculated from at least two pieces of frame image data in the second image data satisfy reference values, detects the moved spotlight as a same object moved spotlight group and predicts a predicted moved spotlight position of the same object moved spotlight group in a next frame in the second image data, based on movement information of the same object moved spotlight group in the second image data.
