摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicular power supply device which is capable of charging in a short period of time each capacitor that is an auxiliary power supply in case an engine cannot be started to an appropriate power voltage not exceeding limit voltage but not being too low. <P>SOLUTION: The vehicular power source device is provided with connecting means SW1-SW12 which connect a battery 3 to selectively combined three or more capacitors C1-C6 and a voltage detector 7 which detects an output voltage of the battery 3, and supplies electric power to a load group 5 by an on-vehicle generator 2, the battery 3, or the capacitors C1-C6. The connecting means SW1-SW12 are equipped with a means SW3 which, when incapability of starting an engine 1 is detected, connects a part of the capacitors C1-C6 to the battery 3 in series in accordance with the voltage value detected by the voltage detector 7, and means SW4, SW5, SW9, SW10 which connect the other part of the capacitors C1-C6 to the battery 3 in parallel or separately.
