A refrigerator equipped with a defrost heater and a control method of the refrigerator are provided to prevent cold air flowing from a cold room to the defrost heater to maximize operating efficiency of the refrigerator and the defrost heater. A refrigerator equipped with a defrost heater includes a cold air duct(11), a cold air supply, cold air discharging parts(16a,16b), and a cold air inhalation part(17). The cold air duct is formed in the main body of the refrigerator. The cold air supply includes a ventilation fan, an evaporator and a defrost heater and supplies cold air. The cold air discharging parts guide the cold air supplied from the cold air supply to a storage room. The cold air inhalation part guides the cold air of the storage room to the cold air supply. |
