PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a complex coefficient transversal filter which makes excellent an image suppression ratio in a frequency converter. SOLUTION: A frequency converter is characterized in that each of a first filter for generating a real part of a complex RF signal and a second filter for generating an imaginary part of the complex RF signal includes, at the input side, two transducers of the identical structure which are disposed side by side line-symmetrically in a signal transport direction, and includes, at the output side, two transducers of the identical structure which are disposed side by side in a direction perpendicular to a signal transport direction, and in that an input-side driving system is single and an output-side driving system is balance. During single/balance driving, direct waves to be propagated to a terminal at a balance driving side can be canceled each other, thereby making excellent an image suppression ratio in a frequency converter.
