摘要 Disclosed is a torque converter for a vehicle whose lock-up clutch is a multi-plate clutch and which can be manufactured at reduced cost by changing the structure of parts into the structure which can be easily processed. The torque converter for a vehicle according to the present invention comprises a multi-plate lock-up clutch and a torsional damper. The lock-up clutch includes: a first clutch drum which is connected to a front cover; multiple first friction plates which are connected to the first clutch drum and move in the direction of a shaft by a piston; a second clutch drum which is connected to the torsional damper; a second friction plates which are connected to the second clutch drum, and are placed between the first friction plates, and move in the direction of the shaft; a third friction plate which is connected to the first clutch drum, and supports the first friction plates and the second friction plates; and a key member which connects the third friction plate to the first clutch drum by inserting, wherein the first clutch drum has an opening in the direction of the shaft and multiple inserting holes which penetrate from a rotation center to the circumference direction are provided, and the first friction plates have inserting protrusions on the circumstance, and the inserting protrusions are inserted into the inserting holes.
