The method involves implementing a separation clutch (2) between two crankshaft portions as wet friction clutch, in order to disconnect the output (5) of crankshaft portion (3) of combustion engine portion (6) from the crankshaft portion (4) of the combustion engine portion (7). The separation clutch heats the lubricant (9) located in the common lubricant sump (8) of the combustion engine (1) during production of the friction phase power loss, if the combustion engine is in the warming-up phase.
