The method involves providing a set of carrier layers (4, 4a) that is made of shapeless liquid substrate. A color layer (3) and a transparent separating layer (2) are formed on top of each other by a 3D-printer. Digital data is supplied to the 3D-printer. The liquid substrate of the carrier layers is solidified before application of a further layer. The transparent separating layer is subsequently solidified. The color layer is arranged with a graphical mirror image and/or textual information is applied to the color layer. An independent claim is also included for a printed product.
