Provided are coal briquettes having excellent hot strength, and a method for manufacturing the same. The method for manufacturing coal briquettes includes i) a step for providing powdered coal; ii) a step for providing graphite that suppresses high-temperature powdering of the coal briquettes; iii) a step for providing a curing agent and a binder; iv) a step for providing a mixture by mixing the powdered coal, the graphite, the curing agent, and the binder; and v) a step of providing coal briquettes by molding the mixture. In the step for providing the mixture, the ratio of the combined amount of the powdered coal and the graphite to the amount of the graphite may be larger than 0 and equal to or less than 0.3. |
