The present invention relates to a method and an apparatus for converting to lactide and, more specifically, to a method and an apparatus for converting lactide in a fed-batch manner to improve the conversion efficiency of lactic acid into lactide during a synthesizing process of polylactic acid which is applicable to vehicle interior materials, building materials, and the likes. The method of the present invention comprises the steps of a first step of polymerizing the lactic acid to oligomer polylactic acid; a second step of depolymerizing the oligomer polylactic acid formed by the polymerization, to convert the oligomer polylactic acid into lactide; and a third step of collecting the converted lactide, wherein the first step and the second step are performed by using separate reactors.
