PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell capable of performing pressure control of off-gas treatment, especially, restraining pressure reduction, without externally having a gas supply device.SOLUTION: The fuel cell includes a fuel cell stack 3 for performing power generation by supplying a fuel and an oxidizer; a catalyst combustor 15 for performing combustion treatment of a fuel exhaust gas and oxidizer exhaust gas discharged from the fuel cell stack 3; a drain-water receiving tank 19 for storing a combustion treated object discharged from the catalyst combustor 15 fed through at least first circulation piping 17; a second circulation piping 21 for supplying a gas component stored in the drain-water receiving tank 19 to the catalyst combustor 15; a gas storage tank 27 for storing, by compressing the combustion treated object or the gas component by selectively operating a compressor 29; and a return piping 31 for returning the combustion-treated object selectively stored in the gas storage tank 27 to a drain-water receiving tank 19 side. |
